The Criminal Investigations program offers the fundamentals of crime scene investigation science and theory.
After education in this program, graduates may work in federal, state and local governments, forensic laboratories, medical examiners offices, hospitals, insurance companies, universities, arson investigation units, homicide investigations or laboratories.
Graduates may also be employed as independent forensic science consultants, fingerprint technicians, print examiners, forensic investigators, evidence technician or in private investigation.
The Criminal Justice program provides you with the skills necessary to maintain law and order, protect life and property and conduct administration, planning and research services. It is designed to prepare you for a career in corrections, criminology, forensic sciences, law enforcement, immigration and security administration.
The curriculum offers a balance of theory and application that will provide you with a well-rounded background. An optional office internship is available, giving you the opportunity to apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom to a work environment.
The program includes a comprehensive study of the national criminal justice system, correctional organizations, and law enforcement agencies. You will learn the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, and the cause and explanation of criminal behavior. Rules of evidence, basic investigative techniques and the philosophy of criminal law are additional areas of study.

The Paralegal program provides a complete overview of practical litigation skill and tasks you need to succeed. You will gain the necessary tools to provide vital assistance to lawyers, clients and courts. Legal assistants (paralegals) may not provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law.
Learn fundamental knowledge about the formation of contracts, breach of contracts and remedies for the breach of contracts. Become familiar with the terminology, policies and procedures applied to estate planning, wills, trusts, estate taxes, estate sales and joint tenancy. Family and criminal law are other principal subjects covered in this program. Family law specializes in divorce, separation, custody, adoption, guardianship and community property. Criminal law covers common law, statutory crimes and punishment, crime classification, principles of liability and basic criminal procedure concepts.
