Founded in 1979 as Las Vegas College, this branch of Everest College is dedicated to providing quality professional programs in several fields. Our goal is to graduate well-trained, dedicated adults who are qualified to begin work in responsible positions in their chosen professions. Paralegal - Specialized Associate Degree

The Specialized Associate degree in Paralegal is designed to prepare students to assist in law firms of all sizes. The degree program will provide students with vast career opportunities in the legal profession. The program emphasizes computer assisted legal research and software applications are taught to keep students abreast of current technology. Students study contracts, including the formation of contracts, breach of contracts, and remedies for breach of contracts. Other important topics covered include: Real Estate Law, which is the analysis of common real estate transaction conveyances such as deeds, leases, mortgages, foreclosures, and title searches; Civil Procedure, which covers investigations, interviewing, discovery, rules of civil procedures for state and federal courts, and methods and organization for effective presentations.

Criminal Justice - Specialized Associate Degree

As the concern about crime increases, the public is looking for possible solutions for prevention of it. To lower the crime rate, however, there must be an understanding of the criminal mentality and how to properly rehabilitate offenders. The Criminal Justice program focuses on crime, law enforcement, correction, and the criminal justice system. The program provides an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the mechanisms of social control and resolution of criminal justice problems, including currently accepted procedures of resolution.
