Associate's in Criminal Justice

Miami-Jacobs Career College offers an associate's degree in criminal justice that will prepare students for outstanding careers in public safety, crime prevention, corrections, the court system and private security. The demand for qualified leaders in law enforcement and criminal justice continues to grow. Criminal justice plays an important and critical role in the safety of our nation.

Courses are taught by highly qualified professionals who have actual experience in their field that enables graduates to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge to begin their exciting new careers. With an associate's degree, you will have the skills to prepare one for careers in public safety, crime prevention, corrections or court work.

Associate's in Security Systems

Graduates are awarded the Associate Degree of Applied Science in Security Systems. This curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the expanding security field. Security Systems professionals design, implement, and maintain security systems.

Employers continue to seek better thinkers, superior problem-solvers and team players with a strong customer orientation. The Miami-Jacobs' graduate will have a competitive edge because of the specialized method in which he or she has been trained. Miami-Jacobs' graduates will have developed strong leadership skills and understand how to influence others positively.

Objectives
Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers as any of the following: security systems installer; security systems construction manager; security manager; project manager; construction manager; security professional, security salesperson; or a network security administrator.

Graduates of this program have the skills to:

  • Negotiate purchasing contracts
  • Resolve conflicts with suppliers and customers

  • Demonstrate OSHA compliance and safe practices

 

Diploma in Security & Investigation

Students receive training in investigations, security, and insurance disciplines along with related writing, office, and technology skills.
