The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Criminal Justice program will provide students with an understanding of the theories underlying the three main components of the criminal justice system: law enforcement; judicial systems; and correctional modalities within the context of social and political sciences.
Methods and applications of these three areas will be emphasized throughout the course work along with the intersections of their functions. The required general education course work will further develop the students' critical thinking and problem solving skills, which will be enhanced throughout their technical course work.

Employment as a law enforcement officer may require additional training as determined by your state's Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The criminal justice program at Globe University/Minnesota Minnesota School of Business does not fulfill Minnesota POST requirements; however, it does qualify in some other states.
