Paralegal - Specialized Associate Degree

The Specialized Associate degree in Paralegal is designed to prepare students to assist in law firms of all sizes. The degree program will provide students with vast career opportunities in the legal profession. The program emphasizes computer assisted legal research and software applications are taught to keep students abreast of current technology. Students study contracts, including the formation of contracts, breach of contracts, and remedies for breach of contracts. Other important topics covered include: Real Estate Law, which is the analysis of common real estate transaction conveyances such as deeds, leases, mortgages, foreclosures, and title searches; Civil Procedure, which covers investigations, interviewing, discovery, rules of civil procedures for state and federal courts, and methods and organization for effective presentations.
