The objective of the Criminal Justice degree program is to
prepare students with the knowledge, technical skill and work
habits required for a wide variety of entry-level criminal
justice positions, while achieving general education objectives
that prepare students for the workplace and future academic
endeavors. Criminal Justice courses give students the ability to
apply principles of criminal law to criminal justice practice and
understand the civil liabilities of criminal justice agencies and
practitioners. Our program also develops basic practical skills
that will enable graduates to make effective use of their
training and education. General education courses focus on
necessary skills in the areas of written and oral communication,
critical thinking and analysis, decision-making and computation
through the presentation of a variety of general education
courses.
