Criminal Justice Diploma
The Criminal Justice program provides you with the skills necessary to maintain law and order, protect life and property and conduct administration, planning and research services. It is designed to prepare you for a career in corrections, criminology, forensic sciences, law enforcement, immigration and security administration.
The curriculum offers a balance of theory and application that will provide you with a well-rounded background. An optional office internship is available, giving you the opportunity to apply the principles and practices learned in the classroom to a work environment.
The program includes a comprehensive study of the national criminal justice system, correctional organizations, and law enforcement agencies. You will learn the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, and the cause and explanation of criminal behavior. Rules of evidence, basic investigative techniques and the philosophy of criminal law are additional areas of study.
