Paralegal Studies Associate of Science Degree
The objective of the Paralegal Studies program is to prepare students with the necessary skills to pursue an entry-level position in the growing field of law. Graduates will have the basic understanding of the core areas of law and the court systems.
Graduates should be competent in drafting basic and routine pleadings and other legal documents, interviewing clients, conducting independent research on non-legal matters, conducting legal research on simple legal questions, and drafting legal memoranda. Graduates will be able to write accurately and precisely and should gain an understanding of computer and business applications related to the legal environment.
