Associate's - Criminal Justice

The Criminal Justice associate degree program provides a broad understanding of the criminal justice system and introduces the student to law enforcement, courts and corrections, as well as private security management. The program includes the study of the United States court systems, correctional organizations and law enforcement agencies. Students study the nature and extent of crime and delinquency, and the cause and explanation of criminal behavior.

Reading, writing and critical thinking skills are rigorously applied and developed throughout the program of study.

Graduates are prepared for entry-level employment in law enforcement, correctional facilities, juvenile agencies, private security and other human service agencies. The program is designed to provide graduates with a balance of theory and practice that will enhance their preparation for the criminal justice field.
