Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice

Saint Leo University's 39-hour is major based on the input of a diverse criminal justice advisory board that is designed to prepare students for careers and rapid advancement in the criminal justice system and related fields. This program of study will enhance the effectiveness of working professionals, provide a foundation for advancement to administrative levels, and prepare students for graduate study in criminal justice administration and related fields. Field placements are available to all students who do not have prior criminal justice-related professional experience. Agencies such as U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Customs, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. District Court, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and a variety of local law enforcement and private security are offered to provide practical experience for those who are not yet working professionals.

Master of Science in Criminal Justice (Online)

Saint Leo University has been involved in educating criminal justice professionals for more than 30 years. Saint Leo University's Master of Science in Criminal Justice Program has been designed to provide criminal justice professionals with the values, knowledge base, and skills necessary to become creative and effective criminal justice agency administrators and workforce managers.

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice program is offered in two formats:

Traditional Program - developed to be a two year program of study, a student could take a maximum of two classes per 16 week semester or one online class per 8 week term. This format of study is very manageable even with a hectic lifestyle. However, a student may find that one class a semester or every other term is a better fit.

Blended Offering: - The Blended program is designed to serve the needs of working professionals who enjoy a traditional learning environment and/or a variety of learning methodologies. For example: Campus, online, off-site, and within the Institute for Excellence in Criminal Justice Administration. Only on-ground classes are scheduled on weekends at the university campus during the three semesters (fall, spring and summer), which consist of eight four hour classes scheduled in the morning and afternoon on Sunday's in an alternating format (when applicable). Other deliverer modes will very in length depending on the format. The benefit to the blended program is that a student does not have to attend University Campus to complete their Master of Science in Criminal Justice Degree.
